Our founder
Why Alba exists.

“I became fascinated not simply by how long we can live, but by how much influence we may have over the way we age.”
I created Alba from a very personal fascination with understanding my own body, health and ageing.

I recently turned 50, and the way I think about health today is very different from the way I lived for much of my earlier life. I spent many years in London working in the art world — a wonderfully creative, exciting and, at times, fairly hedonistic chapter. Health certainly was not the organising principle of my life.

Over the past five years, that has changed completely.

I became increasingly curious about what was happening inside my body: how I was ageing, how my hormones, metabolism, recovery and energy were changing, and what I could do to influence my long-term health rather than simply wait for problems to appear.
That curiosity became something of an obsession. I started exploring everything from continuous health tracking and longevity devices to red-light therapy, recovery technologies, nutritional strategies and emerging areas such as peptides and regenerative medicine. I have always wanted to understand not only what something claims to do, but what the science actually says and how it feels in real life.

A turning point came after travelling to Turkey to undergo stem-cell treatment as part of my own health journey. The experience led me much deeper into the field of cellular medicine and sparked a fascination with the potential — and the complexity — of stem-cell science, personalised medicine and the rapidly developing world of longevity.

The more I learned, the more I realised how difficult this world can be to navigate. Extraordinary science exists, but it is often spread across different countries, specialists and clinics, wrapped in language that can be confusing even for an informed client.
Alba grew from a desire to make that journey clearer.

It brings together the things I care about most: exceptional medical expertise, evidence, thoughtful curation and a highly personal experience. My role is not to make medical decisions — those remain with the clinicians — but to ask the questions I would want answered myself, understand the options and help clients navigate the journey with greater clarity.

And despite my fascination with longevity, I do not believe in living a joyless life in pursuit of perfect biomarkers. I still enjoy the occasional night out, good food, travel and all the things that make life worth extending in the first place.

For me, longevity is not about perfection. It is about understanding your body, making better choices and creating more healthy years in which to enjoy your life.
Documenting the journey
A programme, in real time.
Our founder is undertaking a twelve-month personalised longevity programme and will be documenting the experience through the Alba Journal and on Instagram — including what the assessments involve, what changes, and what remains uncertain.
Personal experience is shared as a first-hand account, not as evidence of what any treatment will achieve for another individual.
